As an early-stage startup, we’re seeking a visionary Founding Engineer to drive the next phase of AI-driven content innovation and shape the future of sports technology.

Founding Engineer Job Requirements

We are seeking a talented founding engineer to lead the technical vision and development of our sports-focused video social media platform. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with expertise in web service development, scalable architecture, and cutting-edge AI/ML for video analysis.

Must-Have Experience
  • Proven expertise in web service development, including cloud-based backends and scalable architectures.
  • Strong skills in stream media processing and web-based video engine development.
  • Hands-on coding experience with modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Leadership and team-building capabilities in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Passion for sports and a deep understanding of how technology enhances sports experiences.
Good-to-Have Experience
  • Familiarity with AI/ML for video analysis, recommendation systems, and content personalization.
  • Experience designing engaging and responsive front-end user interfaces.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Knowledge of video streaming technologies (e.g., HLS, DASH) and media codecs.
  • Background in building social media or content-driven applications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software development with a track record of leading technical teams.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and deploying scalable, high-performance platforms.
  • Strong understanding of video technology, cloud architecture, and modern software development practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and DevOps practices.
  • Deep understanding of social media architecture and user engagement metrics.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make high-stakes decisions in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of building and scaling engineering teams.
  • Passion for sports and a deep understanding of the sports tech ecosystem is a plus.
